Rhythm heaven wallpaper11/19/2022 ![]() ![]() It forces you to count and calculate what beats you’re supposed to hit and flick on before they actually happen. This one’s actually really good! It has a wider variety of cues instead of the single cues the previous games had, and they really use the different cues to their advantage by mixing them up. Just like how Tunnel as a whole wears out its welcome. It’s relaxing and all, but it loops a bit too frequently and, like everything else, wears out its welcome. It’s more of an endurance test and gets old after a while.Īnd the music’s ok, but it’s nothing special. Especially since if you try to mix any of it up yourself you’re practically booted out of the game. And yeah, the little references that pass by the window are cute and all, but once you get tired of that, there really isn’t much to this game. All it is is just a boring “tap to the beat” game with no cues to mix it up, and while the muffled tunnel sections do put some sort of effort to try and mix things up, there’s nothing else that’s really happening gameplay-wise. And when the gameplay, music, and visuals are all unexciting, the game as a whole is unexciting. It’s just a white hand on a yellow background. The DS version is super boring and forgettable, and while Megamix adds sa bit more to it (the generic drumbeat is replaced by a 4 measure jingle, there’s a lives counter for the story mode, they added a sleeve for some reason), it’s still pretty boring.īarely anything is even happening visually. You’re just doing the same thing over and over again at slower and slower speeds until you reach your limit for keeping rhythm. It’s a small distraction at best and a snore-fest at worst. It’s pretty obvious this game was just sort of “tacked on” to everything else, because there’s clearly nothing special about it. It’s a neat version of the game, but I don’t see any need to rank it separately from the other Shoot ‘Em Ups. I’m not gonna be covering the Endless version of Shoot ‘Em Up solely because it’s basically Shoot ‘Em Up 1 & 2 and my general opinions on Shoot ‘Em Up also apply to it. We’re finishing up RHDS by looking at the Endless Games, which include Coin Toss, Tunnel, Samurai Slice, Glass Tappers, and Rhythmove Dungeon! Afterwards, I’ll cover Airboarder and say my thoughts on RHDS as a whole. Oh hi, I didn’t see you there!
